I’m glad more people are watching White Collar since the announcement of Matt being on Glee. It’s really great to get new fans and viewers but all the posts saying ‘I’m only watching this show for Matt Bomer’s are starting to get on my nerves.

I’m not saying that watching the show at first for Matt is a bad thing. Matt is a very handsome man to look at. His beauty drawls you in, I get that. What I’m trying to say is, after you watch a few episodes it should be less “I’m watching for Matt” and more “I’m watching for the story”.

There is so much more to White Collar than Matt’s pretty face. And if all you are getting out of the show is Matt’s face then you’re not understanding what the show is all about. It’s not about how attractive Matt is, it’s about a relationship between and con man and a FBI agent.

Like I said, if you started watching White Collar because of Matt’s looks there is nothing wrong with that. I just want you get more out of White Collar than superficial gratification.

And as a side note, the boner thing really needs to stop. His name is Bomer.

Sorry, I just really needed to get this off of my chest. Thanks for listening to me rant. 

I’ve started watching WC when it first aired and it’s the only show I watch live. WC has great characters, intelligent writing, superb production value and very talented actors. I appreciate all of these, but truth to be told, I’m watching WC this regularly because of Matt Bomer. I love the bromance and all the supporting characters, but it’s Neal who makes the show for me. To me, WC is not about the relationship between a con man and a FBI agent, it’s about a con man, his life choices, decisions & actions and how they affect the people around him. Remember, it’s not about looks, it’s about the character & how Matt portrays it. No matter what, Neal is & will always be the show for me. White Collar is a great show, the best out there, but without Matt, I won’t watch it. 

And I agree, this Boner thing is intolerable. Name-calling is not cool. Stop it people.
